PLAVAC MALI
2011
A superb vintage and a wine of a full potential – this was the conclusion immediately after the grapes were picked. This hypothesis was confirmed multiple times in the years of tasting that followed.
Excerpt from the updated review published in “Kult Plave Kamenice” in December 2018:
„The wine is of a ruby-red colour of a medium to strong intensity. The aromas are intense and pleasant, reminding of mature blackberries, dried figs, blueberries, dark chocolate, tar and the notes of sweet spices. Dry on the palate, with a fine and crunchy acidity rounded off with the pleasant warmth of alcohol. This wine is very well structured, with robust and fine grainy tannins and a good concentration of fruits. Traces of spices from aging in oak barrels can be felt, which bestows an elegant complexity upon this wine. A robust wine with great potential for aging.“
Excerpt from the updated review by Mr Nenad Trifunović @vinopija from December 2018:
„Noticeably mature at first, with notes of dried figs and a mineral signature. The wine is radiant and is currently at is peak. It has it all – both concentration and homogeneity – which makes it a true Gestalt wine (a whole). It demonstrates the best progression when in the glass – each new sip confirms the previous one and brings a new experience.“
