Our Reverence

At first, it was a challenge. Then came love – deep and unwavering – and with it, a bond that grew stronger with every passing season. Our story in wine has grown with us, and we with it. Inseparable, like vine and soil.

From the beginning, we held ourselves to the highest standards. There was never a question. Our vineyards would be planted only with native, indigenous varieties. Without them, we would feel like travelers without a passport: present, but not truly belonging.

Into this untouched soil – pure, wild, and still home to spontaneous herbs – we brought what we had long practiced at home: a respect for nature, an ecological way of life. And from this land, we raise each wine like a child. Nurtured in our cellar with care, patience, and purpose.

Behind us stands a century of family tradition in viticulture and winemaking. Ahead of us, we believe, are great things. With God’s blessing, we walk this path quietly and with conviction.

The Chapel of St. Michael

At the highest point of our vineyards stands the Chapel of Sveti Mihovil (St. Michael), built on September 29, 2009. Michaelmas, the feast day of St. Michael, and the end of our grape harvest.

A tribute to our family’s enduring faith, the chapel reflects five generations of reverence for Mihovil, our founder, whose name echoes the archangel’s.

At its heart stands a statue from Italy’s Monte Gargano Shrine, one of the most sacred sites dedicated to St. Michael brought by our father and grandfather, Vlade, a devoted member of the Brotherhood of St. Michael.

It serves as a place for reflection and gratitude for each harvest a quiet reminder of
the cycle of nature and the legacy we continue.
